Unsilenced Opening Reception

January 17, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm UTC+0

Unsilenced Evite

This exhibit of blown glass and paintings on paper, features Larynx, a series conceived in Berlin, and brought to life at Mongrain Glass Studio in Mukilteo, Washington. Kaaf’s Unsilenced is the first in a series of exhibits dedicated to human rights.

Box of Pain

Now you’re a story being told in a place you’re not. Your throat, that box of pain, is full of bones & feathers. In the white of your eye there’s a blood spot, small & rusted, like a sun setting in the distance over a snow field trampled down by straggles of hungry soldiers.

Excerpted from a poem by Golan Haji (Translated by Golan Haji & Stephen Watts)
